I'm going to collect my new-to-me used GT Sport Tech from the dealer tomorrow 🎉. When I get home, no doubt I'll be spending a long time in the garage (plugged into charger) fiddling with the settings, audio etc etc. So, my question is, to prevent draining the 12v battery, should I be in ACC or full Power On during this process? Thanks for any guidance here.

The 12v battery is charged from a dc to dc convertor from the HV batteries as you no doubt know. I would recommend having the car on to ensure the 12v battery is kept topped up. I am unsure if without ready mode the car provides 12v charging...but some else may know.

I am basing the recommendation on this

Low Lead-acid Battery Charge
Warning Sound
The warning sound is activated when
the lead-acid battery charge is low.
To charge the lead-acid battery, start
the EV system and operate it for 5
minutes or longer.

Got it thanks. Yes, I meant the HV battery charger so disconnection is what it'll have to be. I should be ready to sit my NVQ in MX30 by Christmas. I tried reading the manual on locking, autolocking, security system.... today and my head hurts!!

The best way to pass a practical exam is to actually do it for real

Enjoy, its a really good quiet drive and like all of us on this forum every day is a school day. And don't be afraid to ask questions however stupid they may sound...we have all been there, and I in particular have that tee shirt🤯

Have fun

It really is a school day every day. Today i found all the settings for everything... moving the HUD down the windscreen, turning off forced lane assist, shortening the insanely long range that blindspot detection has when changing lanes into traffic, the lot!

Well, back home from the dealer now and I'm very impressed 👌. There aren't any (apparent) glitches. The workshop people had done the door fix and the car was spookily quiet 👍. On handover, the salesman pointed out that the car should be on 'Ready' when changing settings etc. and was generally very helpful and
efficient. So, all in all, a very satisfactory experience and I even scored a 3.9 m per kWh on the 50 mile scenic route home. Well chuffed!

Gosh people on this site really know a lot about the 30. Great stuff guys gives me a lot of security. I have noticed on other sites, other models, some people are quite sarcastic when someone has a query, not so on this site really helpful genuine people on here. Gives that all in it together feeling. Great guys.

This forum seems to be closer in theme to the old Mk1 MX-5 forums where users where the users were always super helpful and always keen to dive into technical stuff... I miss my MX-5s
