I have experienced (2 times, the second really obvious) a lag when accelerating coming into a roundabout. I accelerate, the car didn´t response, so I accelerate more, and then start accelerating even when I lift the accelerator, for around 2 secs.

Quite dangerous.

Someone experience something simillar?

Hello and yes, I previously posted a similar issue but only when you alter the brake regen and then accelerate.
Exactly.

Situation. Arriving to roundabout with full regen, instead of braking to stop and wait to enter in, I accelerate to enter as a car was coming but still far away...and then, happens.

This is the kind of situation almost impossible to reply when you want, so you cannot show it to the dealer and they will say..."everything looks fine".

Did you do anything?

Yes, I reported it to my dealer as a safety concern and will chase it up this week, as my car is currently with them. I can replicate it very easily if they want me to, so will see what they say, but agree it is dangerous.

Could you describe the steps to replicate this please? I could not do it.

Hello. I can replicate it by using full brake regeneration and then releasing the brake regen and accelerating at the same time. I have just had the following reply from Mazda if it helps.

The system is designed to be set by the driver to suit a specific condition (ie town driving with increased regenerative braking or motorway with low regenerative braking etc).

The system is not designed to be used as a substitute for a normal brake operation as it cannot be adjusted quickly enough to convert regeneration to acceleration.(Hence your lack of acceleration when joining flowing traffic).

Thanks

Thanks. I will try.

The answer from Mazda do not convince me, I can understand and assume a lag of braking when modifying regenerative brakes, but can not assume a lag in acceleration, which continue accelerating when I am not anymore.
