Having done reviews, driven it twice and took the chance in a calculated risk to buy, I got a new mx30 recently ( first edition plus extras). Over only done 2k miles but I'm not sure I have the faith to continue with it. I do the odd 200 mile journey but the car doesnt behave. It never rapid charges as quick as advertised, often needing 50 mins to get to 80%. My 7kw charger .. can take 9-10 hours to charge at home, not the advertised 5... It's made my journeys dread using heating and struggling to charge points.. I had thought I'd worked it out to cope .

Mazda have arranged to bring it in and run a new update etc. But I think even if sorted I just need a long range car.

It's perfect, as new with puddle lighting and mats etc.

Sorry Mazda !

It sounds like you might have something wrong with yours. I'm in Southern California and the DC fast charging is amazing! Charges in half the time as my Bolt did cause of the smaller battery. Also when I plug it in at home it charges up within 5 hours. I'm getting exactly what Mazda claims so far. If you got it fixed and it charged quicker would you keep it? I'm in love and obsessed with mine haha.

Sorry to hear you are not happy. AC charging is kind of peculiar with the MX 30. It charges up to 6.6 kW only single phase. Got the faster speed on public 22 kW chargers but there are special wallboxes allegedly. But If you charge overnight it should be less of a concern? If you come from a normal car this is quite a transition for you. 200 miles can be a challenge especially during winter. If you do one route frequently you tend to get familiar with chargers and work out a routine that works for you. You tend to get used to the tech with time or at least I did. Most folks dont do longer trips often but if you do... You might be better off with another car. Always plug it in when you can is another strategy that makes life easier. Hope things work out for you.
