Hi

Sorry if this has been posted but couldn't find it.

Car immediately starts charging once it's plugged in, even when I have a schedule set (12 AM - 6 PM), and I have the Charge When Plugged In box unchecked. Even when I removed the schedule (which also removes the check box fo Charge When Plugged in), it would still immediately start charging. Edit: just figured how to Stop charging with app lol

TIA!

Just as a matter of interest did you have the schedule set up for every day of the week and the % charge set within the schedule?

Alan
Originally, yes. Midnight - 6 PM Daily was the schedule, with a Charge Limit of 90%. For testing purposes, this was then removed (and the car currently has No schedule), to see if the car charging would act differently. It did not. With or without a set schedule, it still started charging immediately after plugging in.

What is your GPS signal like? I ask because the handbook states;

NOTE
x The charging timer does not work
immediately after the lead-acid
battery is removed or installed, or
when no GPS signal has been
received. When charging without
receiving GPS, quick charging begins.
When GPS signals are received, the
charging timer becomes operational.
x Immediately after switching to
daylight savings, charging may occur
at the charging timer time set before
the switch to daylight savings until
the power switch is switched ON.

Wow! Thanks for the find! I didn't even think to look somewhere else (under GPS!) for a possible issue, lol. I do Not know where or how to find out what my GPS signal is. I know I did change the clock, as Daylight Savings was clicked off originally and so the time was off by an hour. I will try to find the GPS signal status and play around it. I still need to re-input the schedule.

Thank you!!

I wonder if it needs the nav sd card? Don't know if that is supplied or an option stateside?

Alan
Not needed. I just needed to get car outside garage for GPS to kick in, lol. Still haven't found GPS yet but I've had similar issues with another car before; just didn't think it would affect the schedule charging lol. Thank you!!
Nav card is an option here as an accessory which was kinda disappointing for the PP trim. Honda Clarity (my other) had Nav included once you go from Base to Premium trim.

Thank you again!

Hope it now works and if it does I can't get my head around why you need gps for schedule? To check time against gps clock? Does it not trust the car clock or is the car synchronised to gps somehow?

Who knows...fingers crossed it works 🤞
