Good question. I suspect with the addition of Connected Services to the app the end user can no longer amend the dealership details. I am not 100% sure about that but I cannot find a way to edit it in the app itself. I wonder if the way to go is as stated below?

If you believe the vehicle details being shown in your MyMazda Application are incorrect please contact our Customer Relations Team on [email protected].

Or visit your preferred dealer as I am sure they can change it for you.

Welcome Sequin74. I'm in the same position so I'm going to follow your progress on this with interest! Mind you, I've decided to leave the dealer details as they are for a while in case I need to contact them about any fault I find - but nothing so far.🙂 Also had mine for less than a week and very pleased.

I have just bought my car from a dealer 200+ miles away and their details are on the App as the preferred dealer. Does anyone know how I can change this to my local dealers details?
Many thanks (haven’t had it a week yet but LOVING my MX-30!)
(US app here, so may differ)

1st off, you should have been the one to add who your preferred dealer is? That's why I added the caveat that mine might differ

That said, In the (US) app, go MyMazda > My Preferred Dealer > Top Right 3 dot menu > Edit Dealer

Thank you for sending that but unfortunately the US app is different to the UK one. I actually found a US manual for the app but we don’t have the facility to change the dealer details like you. Thanks again though.

I called Mazda UK this morning and they didn’t know if they had to update the app from their end or whether it is something the end user can do. They said they would call me back but nothing as yet. If I have an update I’ll post it

Agree with your caveat as not on the UK app as Sequin74 has stated. Found the US version on google but our version is greyed out so the user cannot amend it. I wonder if dealer remote diagnostics/connected services have anything to do with ours being locked down? Also in the US I thought eSIM connection was optional (paid subscription, could you confirm? in the UK it's free for 3 years) perhaps that's why you can amend it and we can't?

It is available as a US option but you need to sign up with Verizon I believe. Obviously it is built into the car but needs activated. It allows remote functions via the app to the car.

I can remote control Start and Stop charging, Lock/Unlock doors, car head lights, and climate control right now. Don't recall any thing about eSIM though.

It might not be specifically mentioned as eSIM but it is how the car communicates with the mazda server to allow app to server to car (and vice versa) communications. It is basically a sim card but built into the car s/w I believe. Did you sign a connection fee as part of the purchase process? It is shown in the US as radio wave reception and the signal box can be seen if you have entertainment or navigation displayed in the car. Bottom righthand side.

Whilst on the subject of the app I like to have my tyre pressures shown in bar rather than psi. I can change it in the car to show bar but the app stays in psi with no obvious way of changing it. Not a huge issue but annoying.

No connection fee, communication, or anything of any kind. Just double checked all pages of my copy of everything I signed and nothing about connections or how the vehicle communicates. I would have noted it if there was one since it would/could mean additional fees down the road.

Closest thing I can think of is the onboard WiFi. I initiated it in the first week and I have 3 months or 2GIG free with AT&T but will have to pay US$20/month if I want to continue after that. I only did saw cause my 11yo liked the idea lol but otherwise he has access to our mobile hotspots. I haven't even done anything with Sirius radio lol

That's good news. Seems you also get the complimentary 3 years as well in the states (y) (y) (y) . So that throws the Connected Services tie up out the window re dealership change. I wonder if its a contractual thing to ensure you can only connect to an authorised UK dealer?

P.s we don't get offered the wifi option over here!
