I was just wondering if anyone could let me know how long they waited for their vehicle to be delivered once it was ordered? Feeling like I’m being fobbed off at the moment and everything time I call for an update, I get told something different. I ordered my vehicle in November 21, was told at the time, delivery would be March/April 22. I was told last week, it is now going to me August 22.

Welcome to the effects of the global chip shortage. A friend of mine has just given up on an iD3. Ordered for delivery last year, the dealer has just pushed potential delivery to October. That said, Autotrader lists 17 new MX-30's for sale. Dump your order if you can't get any sense and buy one of those.

I got my MX-30 in November last year. Dealer didn't have one in stock but searched the Mazda dealership network and found the car in the spec I wanted at a dealer fairly close by and arranged to get it transferred to them within a couple of days. Can't see this being beyond any dealership to do if they really want the sale.

the thing is a bit different. Mazda dealers have (by contract) to have 2 MX-30 in the showroom. 1 registered for test drive and 1 new in the showroom. They can get rid (e.g. sell) of one of the 2 ONLY if they have replaced it first. So all the stock in the showroom could be potentially not sellable as they cannot replace. When I was looking in DEC - there were an handful available in UK central stock - all others planned to arrive March-April (which might have been affected by chip shortage). So be careful even if you see a car in the showroom, as they might not be able to sell this to you (also on autotrader sometimes you see pics of the cars and then says aval April - which made little sense to me until I discovered the above). Also worth mentioning that all dealers have access to the same stock (back in the days all of them offered 2 colours only for a reason!). Might be worth though to browse if the one you want is the one they have in their showroom already (to be replaced by one in stock and then sold to you). In my case in DEC the car I would have bought was already in the showroom, but I had to wait 1 month at least for them to replace it and then sell it to me (that sounds completely silly when you actually seat in your "new car" but cannot have it!)
worth mentioning Cazoo has some of them available on subscription (all basic trim though)
do your maths, as in my case subscription was cheaper than PCP (mystery) and they paid a generous part ex cash.

Birillo_79, I agree. The car spec/colour I required was the car in the showroom. Luckily I only waited a week for another one to be obtained so my vehicle could be released.

yep also the fact that all trim have locked config with no options available, makes it much easier to find stock that suits you (basically it is down to trim&colour combination). But generally if no cars are available in the central stock, then all dealers will be in the same boat (that is what I was trying to say in a really long way ahah)

I was lucky, misses manage to get one of the last Red GT's in the country (England) back begining of November. If it wasnt available would have to wait until April.

Mine took 7 weeks as they said, used Mazda in Leamington Spa.
Mine was 8 weeks from Norton Way Mazda - it was already in stock
