I hope that you managed to channel your latent Victor Meldrew Alan. It is Unbelievable after all!
looks a tidy job hope it does the job, for now I’ll stick to my home made remedy of Velcro pads as I’ve had no noise for 3 months nowDone, took about 2 hours. This was the first one done so timings may improve going forward. New piano black rear door embellishments on both sides of my particular model which are now sealed to hold off blemishes. New rear door(s) top rail/ channel and seal. See picture. Nothing changed on front door which was as expected. Here's hoping that's it's finally solved🤞🤞

Hi againCiprotim, whatever works for yourself, and I am glad it is still silent. I wanted to go down the recorded fault route even though I implemented the velcro fix to silence the problem. If it is recorded by Mazda and not resolved that, in my opinion, gave/gives me leverage to continue pressing Mazda for resolution or otherwise. Hopefully this one is the end game.
1/ My velcro fix...worked
2/ Mazda padding.....failed after a few months
3/ Mazda wonder spray....failed after drying out
4/ Mazda new door seal....watch this space but still have plenty of velcro
Rightyo will do. I kinda like the car otherwise, since it's quiet, stable and runs like a dream. Off to the dealership I'll go then. I already looked into the velcro fix and managed to pillage through some of the stuff I've in garage, so I'll be ready whatever the case. Thanks! It's a known fix so they cannot argue their case. Get it done and then see if it still exists!
If not there is a velcro fix listed in this thread
