Done, took about 2 hours. This was the first one done so timings may improve going forward. New piano black rear door embellishments on both sides of my particular model which are now sealed to hold off blemishes. New rear door(s) top rail/ channel and seal. See picture. Nothing changed on front door which was as expected. Here's hoping that's it's finally solved🤞🤞

looks a tidy job hope it does the job, for now I’ll stick to my home made remedy of Velcro pads as I’ve had no noise for 3 months now

Ciprotim, whatever works for yourself, and I am glad it is still silent. I wanted to go down the recorded fault route even though I implemented the velcro fix to silence the problem. If it is recorded by Mazda and not resolved that, in my opinion, gave/gives me leverage to continue pressing Mazda for resolution or otherwise. Hopefully this one is the end game.

1/ My velcro fix...worked
2/ Mazda padding.....failed after a few months
3/ Mazda wonder spray....failed after drying out
4/ Mazda new door seal....watch this space but still have plenty of velcro :)

Hi again

I had the Mazda wonder spray. Dampens the noise but should I hold out for the new door seal? I only do low mileage so maybe the drying out of the wonder spray hasn't happened for me yet?

Mkii.px in my opinion the wonder spray is/was not a permanent fix merely a sticking (or unsticking in our case) plaster. How long it lasts is a how long is a piece of string conundrum. Personally I would advise you to get the proper fix as it is also a production model change such is Mazda's confidence.

But it is down to individual choice but I feel happier having it done not just for myself but potential future owners.

Hi @Thebriggie, how are you getting on with the latest fix? With the recent heat I think my wonder spray has worn off, so back to having the rattle on both doors. I have mine booked in for next month, although the dealer was unaware of the bulletin, so just waiting for confirmation on when the parts will be available. Thanks
