I took mine into the dealer yesterday and they sprayed it to ‘fix it’. Would be really interested if Mazda have an actual fix (and what it is)

Better result than the software upgrade which it was booked in for. Went to pick the car up at the end of the day only to be told that they hadn’t been able to upgrade the software due to not having the right part (which they have now had to order!)
My latest update:
My dealer is saying that the fix previously implemented on my car (padding between the glass window and the door frame) was "the Mazda fix" but it clearly doesn't resolve the issue. My dealer has confirmed that they can hear the rattle. The problem goes away briefly whenever the rear doors are opened but this provides only a temporary respite. The issue is now with Mazda Europe.

My dealer installed the software update to solve the 12V battery issue - there was no mention of any new part required. Prior to my visit the MyMazda app had reported a problem with the lighting system (headlights, side lights, rear lights, reversing light etc). The dealer said that this false report issue was known to Mazda and the dealer thinks that the software update will also resolve this false reporting issue.

mkii.px....working so far but time will tell....as you have experienced. They did state it was a Mazda UK fix. Without clear diagnostic info it is not clear if it is a single fix suits all or there is more than one reason for the problem and they are knocking them down one at a time on some of our vehicles. Hopefully it's not...and shouldn't be...body flex due to no central pillar.

This forum gives me the impression that multiple issues are afoot!

Went to Mazda service, and it appears that they have a global campaign related to the door rattle noises.
They`ve have implemented the "fix", although it was not present at the moment (of course by the law of Murphy), and installed updates.
So far so good, hopefully this is resolved.

Iv got a reaction from mazda Netherlands. My dealer asked them about the rattling doors. Mazda Netherlands sent me a questionnaire (excel) in which i or the dealer should try different things with the doors to investigate the nature and cause of the rattling sound. I will let the dealer do the procedure and communicate with mazda. It seems there isnt a fix available yet. See for urself in my attachment.

I will be interested to see the outcome MX-30. On my car, the gap at the indicated point is 3mm. It's not obvious to me how one could increase that to 5mm. The rubber seals are quite thin and moving the door won't work as that would not look right in respect of the gaps between the the front and rear of the door and the adjoining panels. Perhaps Mazda will produce a modified seal assembly. The silicon/PTFE spray works for me but the noise returns after a couple of weeks and I have to do it again. I am trying PTFE tape at the moment. First result is promising but I will give it a couple of weeks before I report further.

Milkfloat, a good few weeks ago my Mazda dealer told me they had an official Mazda UK fix. I had it done on the 20th of December. So far all quiet and all the Heath Robinson fixes removed including thick double sided tape on both top corners of the opening side of the front doors. 🤞 it is all quiet now. It involved realigning the front door hinges and adding additional padding (which is far as I can see is behind the existing seal at top corner of both doors where the tape used to exist) according
to the dealer worknote supplied to me. I am a bit concerned that some members say Mazda are investigating and others say their dealer has a Mazda fix. It's all a bit confusing!!!

My Mazda dealer says that there is Mazda UK approved fix that, presumably you have had. The problem I have is squaring a fix that puts pressure against the window with a solution that involves a lubricating spray. So far, I have resisted the fix for now though I have to make my mind up ahead of the first service due towards the end of March.

Update My rattle was fixed by my Local Irish Mazda Garage, it’s been a week and it has not returned yet so I am hoping they properly resolved it.

They covered it under a Mazda recall so other Mazda garages should be sorting this out now.
