It may be a rare occurrence but what happens if you are faced with driving down a steep hill with a full battery. When the battery is full there is no regenerative braking to mimic the low gears of an ICE vehicle, so how does the MX30 behave in these cases - do you have to rely on the normal brakes? Or is there some clever feature to take care of the excess energy generated by going down the hill?

When the battery is above 95% or something, you get a message that the regen break is limited and you can clearly feel that the car is not slowing down as much as you would expect.

It is like having the regen in mid position, no matter what you set with the paddles. Normal breaks is then necessary and can be a little bit confusing/dangerous if you are used to full regen settings and come out from a full charge.

I guess downhill in those conditions means the car will just roll like a normal car and you need to break with the pedal.

I have only experienced it once and, though you are expecting it, the absence of regenerative braking still seems to take you by surprise. As the battery drains then regeneration increases until it is fully restored at 90% SOC. Rightly or wrongly, that is he reason I chose 90% as the normal charge limit.
