
Mercedes Benz has presented a new concept car, the EQXX.
Amazingly it weighs only 1750 kg and has a 100 kWh battery. Drag coefficient is 0,17 which is unbelievably low. In comparison the MX 30 weighs roughly 1650 kg and has a battery pack of 35,5 kWh. Drag coefficient is 0,34.
So today MB, Toyota and many other manufacturers are throwing billions at EV R&D. This is no longer a one company game.
For EV drivers this is something to celebrate. Mazda still has given us a fun and affordable daily driver that works. With time, all this investment in new tech will trickle down to mass market affordable EVs.
