Hi all not been on for a while but I have a question. Does anybody know if it’s possible to connect an extension lead to a type two lead. I’m sure the Briggie will know.

Paul, yes it can be done but at a price (£300+) I would advise looking for a longer type 2 first if that suits before splashing out on an extension.

I just bought a 10m replacement

p.s leaving the forum. Going back to my CX5 until Mazda gives us a proper four door EV. Transporting more sprogs and adults and back seat access is becoming too much of an issue.

I bought one for £15 from Screwfix, it’s 10m long in green rated 13A, that plus a waterproof box have served me well for the past 18 months

That'll be the granny cable. Apologies I was talking about Type2, 7kw extension..let's see what Paul needs. The only thing with granny cables is to ensure you home circuit's are up to scratch with all the necessary protection.
