Morning all.
This is my first post as we are collecting our Soul Red Sport Tech tommorow.
Until last year we were a two car family with me using both cars for work however due to COVID-19 I lost my job and am now happily semi retired with part time jobs so one car went.
We have been loyal Ford customers for nearly 30 yrs but as my wife's mileage has reduced to a 12 mile a day commute thought it was time to look at an EV.
Unfortunately Ford have only gone for a premium EV which was not practical for our requirements but luckily our family run Ford dealer is also a Mazda main dealer and they had a MX-30 being used by a staff member on the Ford side.
My wife had been dead against driving an automatic but after 5 minutes on a test drive she was "sold" and said she didn't want to go back to our Focus!
End result, we went for the MX-30 after an excellent part ex deal on my 18 month old Focus with only 12,000 miles.
Ironically I have bought a car without even driving it as I'm in my 11 th week of recovery from a serious cycle accident and still have a neck collar which means I can't drive. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I'll be able to drive our new car (I have driven several automatics plus an EV Mini recently as part of one of my jobs as driver for a main BMW dealership).
Looking forward to being part of this excellent forum.
