I'm certainly fascinated to see what they do with an EV service! Apart from the HVAC filters, windscreen wipers, and tyres almost everything else is a lifetime component now!

Pretty much, according to the scheduled maintenance in the owners manual, only other replacement item, is brake fluid every 2 years.

To me the only benefit is £. If it proves to be cheaper over 3 years than annual payments and it locks in the costs to take inflation out the picture (which it does) then I am willing to give it some head room. Awaiting a dealer quote to assess my options.

I’ve booked my first service in for March. They told me that they recommended cleaning/servicing the fuel filter for an additional £34. I had to point out it was an EV. 🤦‍♂️ Not sure how much yet.
Apart from the obvious, even on a car with one, a fuel filter replacement would be ridiculous on a first service! Call them out, walk away.

Without knowing what they actually done for 20 euros we maybe comparing apples and pears. If it the same as a UK service then we are being ripped off but without the info we don't know...for sure

True, but according to Mazda, the Italian and UK service are be same, with no parts replaced in the 1st service, only inspection as Wimac said.

Hawke, I agree but there are inspections and Inspections. It may well be we are being ripped off in the UK I was just seeking clarity. I could walk around a car for 20 euros or do a more forensic investigation for greater funds. If Wimac is happy a full Mazda first service was completed according to the service checklist, which they should supply a copy of to you when completed, then what a great deal. Then we ask ourselves why we are paying a dam sight more. That's all.

I've never had a Mazda before so I haven't experienced their dealers hourly rates. I will, therefore, assume £150 /hr. So, if the service costs £104, then that is 40 minutes. Drive it round the block, plug in the laptop and check fluids and tyre pressures and that's your lot! €20 buys less than 7 minutes during which one could do virtually nothing.

Well, probably this is a template. Unfortunately, the service is not prepared in any aspect for the EV transition. Looking at the inspections, those jobs may be performed in less than 30 minutes. I would have done by myself
for free, but I think that price is ok considering that without the service the warranty may be lost.

Had my 2020-10 MX-30 in for the first service in Sweden, around 10.000km, paid around 100 Euros (1000 SEK), they updated the software (Which is for free), inspected the car and greased the brakes since they are used rarely. Unknown how the second service will be.
