Flat 12v battery

I could not get power on (CHARGING ERROR) showed on display.
Gear knob would no move out of park position.
I have jump leads in front compartment, and I managed to get person to give me a jump position.
This gave me enough power to get car in drive ,and moving.
What if I had been in a remote area with no help, I would have to get rescue callout.
As we all know EV cars cannot be towed ,which makes breakdown very complicated.
I have bought battery booster , I keep in front bay, giving me peace of mind.
I would suggest this to other MX30 owners as a chaep back up.

I have had several breakdowns with no faults found in the 12v battery. I have replaced it and so far no issues. I have fitted a battery monitoring device which a guy called Matt on YouTube features . His YouTube channel is Go Green Autos he features a BM2 Bluetooth 12v battery monitor , I now have one and its fantastic.

I've also bought a battery booster and use it a couple of times a day :(. I've been advised by my dealer that the issue is the car not getting the full signal when being locked, so it continues to lock and unlock but within the CPU and not the locks themselves. I've also been told that you will need new key fobs from Japan to resolve the issue, which could take weeks/months to obtain.
Did you wee this?

Maybe your issue..
Thanks, but unfortunately mine's a 2021 model.

Did the battery issues get resolved, as I get loads of errors when mine is low?

Hi,
My problem was using things while parked.
I did not get any display letting me know the 12v battery was getting low.
I have fitted a 12V to USB with digital voltage display ,which I can monitor all the time.
If I see it getting low ,I move from P to N and 14v charger kicks in.

Regards
Bob

Hi, you can check the 12V battery in the service mode any time. Functional inspection / Vehicle signal menu. See in the video,

If 12v is playing up , replace it . It may sort the sensors out.
