I was wondering how to fully raise the front windscreen wipers in advance of replacing them in the future. Like some other Mazda's the wipers are under the lip of the hood and cannot be raised in this position and you cannot stop them mid screen in normal mode. I found this and it works. Apologies if you know this already.

Replace the wiper blades using the following procedure.
  1. Move the wipers to the service positions using the following procedure.
    1. Switch the ignition ON.
    2. Switch the ignition OFF.
    3. Press up the wiper switch to the MIST position 2 times within 30 seconds after switching the ignition OFF.
When the procedure is completed, the wipers operate and they stop at the service positions.
  2. Raise the wiper arms.

That's great! Thanks for posting. I had no idea how to do that.
