GENUINE Mazda Connect Firmware Update FILES for MX-30.

Be Advised I will No Longer offer Any Support to Mazda Owners who Do Not obtain these Genuine Mazda Firmware Files from Me.
If you Download from YouTube or Other Links then Do Not ask for any help from me if or when it goes bad. Most of the other 'suppliers' do not offer any Support or include Full Instructions and or are issuing the wrong files for your Country or car.
I am simply not prepared to waste my time when some of you are impatient and or cannot wait for my reply(s).

Most PC Browsers (Google Chrome or MS Edge) offer Translation from a drop down, top far right.


Mazda has released new Firmware updates for Both Series MX-30 Mazda Connect.
This is the second release for Mazda Connect in Europe/UK/North America/Australia and New Zealand.

WARNING: DO NOT USE ANY SMART PHONE TO DOWNLOAD FIRMWARE AND INSTALL OF FIRMWARE ONTO USB FLASH DRIVE....... ONLY USE A WINDOWS 11 PC - LAPTOP.

PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE A FEW IN EUROPE WHO ARE CHARGING $$$s FOR THESE UPDATES, THESE ARE ALWAYS FREE FROM ME SAFE AND GENUINE MAZDA, Also don't download from unknown YouTube Links as the advice is wrong or non existent.
I will help you through this easy process.


ALSO NOTE: YOU CAN NOT CHANGE or SWAP INFOTAINMENT SYSTEMS.

ALL EXPORT MX-30s USE the 7th GENERATION MAZDA CONNECT.
7th Gen ND 2.5 MAZDA HOME SCREEN has the White Text on a Black Screen.

6th Gen ND MAZDA HOME SCREEN has the Red Select Icons on Black Screen.

EU02 11030 MX-30 For Europe and UK and AUSTRALIA and New Zealand.
EU10 11012 MX-30 For Europe and UK , AU/NZ from VIN 200000 onward..
NA02 11046 MX-30 For USA and Canada and North America.
NA10 10004 MX-30 2023 MY~ For USA and Canada and North America.

If your MX-30 is Below this version numbers I suggest you complain of an issue with Connect to get your Mazda Dealer to update your cars Mazda Connect file, or if you are a liitle home PC tech savvy we can supply you with a download link and full instructions on how to, it's very easy.

Can I also just add, you do not need to be a computer expert to install these new Mazda Connect updates as they are very easy to do, note you can not install the wrong file as your latest model now prevents you from making mistakes 😉.
Please do not rely on your Mazda Dealer Service Department to run these new updates as so many are not trained and or it is not part of normal servicing schedule, but it should be.

Yes they are genuine files and I wish there was not a need to help Mazda owners as unfortunately Mazda Dealers are very poor at updating systems, many techs are still just too old school and reluctant.

Unfortunately Mazda OTA (over the air if equipped) updates are also problematic, but one day Mazda will get on-top of it.

The reasons for updates are like any other Software Updates is to fix bugs and or features not working correctly.
To check what is installed in your MX-30 right now is do the following..

CMU Software Version Verification Procedure
1. Turn the ignition switch to ACC mode with the push button start while
depressing the brake pedal, push the power switch to turn
the power ON (READY ON).
2. Select ”Settings” on the Home screen.
3. Select “System Setting”.
4. Select “System Information”.
5. Select “Version Information”.
6. CMU System Software version number should be listed like 11003,
Gracenote is the music title file version and updates with any new firmware.
Can ONLY update system you can Not downgrade to any earlier Versions.

Also if you look around in ''System'' Device Version Information you will see screen like this.

SEE ABOVE SCREEN EXAMPLE PIC OF YOUR CMU DEVICE VERSION INFORMATION The 7000C0A-NA06_12006 tells me what is in a or your Mazda Right Now.
PLEASE QUOTE THIS
CIRCLED NUMBER IN ANY CONNECT Private MESSAGES or IN THIS FORUM THREAD.
In Europe, UK, AU/NZ it will read 7000C0A-EU02_110?? or EU10_110??
In North America it will read 7000C0A-NA02_110?? or NA10_100??


In many cases unfortunately not all Mazda Dealers update your Firmware/Software as part of the normal Service Schedule. They usually only update if directed to do so by MNAO or Owner (you) complains of a particular problem with Infotainment, etc.

So I suggest you check the version running in car now by doing above.

The Current Genuine Mazda Updateable Version for MX-30 is NA02_11046 for North America.
The Current Genuine Mazda Updateable Version for MX-30 is EU02_11030 for Europe and UK, Australia/NZ/Asia/Oceania.
EU10_11012 for Europe and UK, Australia/NZ/. 2022 MY ~
NA02_11046 for USA/Canada is now available. 2021 MY ~
NA10_10004 for USA/Canada is now available. 2023 MY ~


If your MX-30 is Below listed numbers ABOVE for your Region or Country then yes you can Update your cars Infotainment.
If your MX-30 is already On or Above the listed Version number for your Country or Region then obviously you can not update as only above listed file version is available.

Yes I can help you with NA02_11046 or EU02_11030 file Version if you want a downloadable copy to update yourself, please PRIVATE Message me only, each file comes with full installation instructions in .Pdf.

You CAN NOT INSTALL A HIGHER FILE VERSION NUMBER THAT IS NOT MEANT FOR YOUR COUNTRY or REGION!

It is not difficult to install and much much easier than Gen 6 in older Mazda's.
These files will not be publicly made available, however you can privately message me for an update file if your selling Mazda Dealer does not run the update for you.

As Mazda distribution only offers updates about 1 to 2 times per year in many cases If you have just bought your brand new MX-30 then the Version installed on the production line is always a newer or later version or a higher number than what Service Departments can offer you. On rare occasions you may have bought old model year MX-30 or your Dealer did not update during Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI).

I suggest you check annually to see if any updates are now available, if there is a later version you can if you wish update Connect yourself, again easy .Pdf Instructions are provided with download.

I do not ever and will not ever misrepresent the brand or believe in changing what is done to your car during the cars warranty period, so please do not ask me how to TWEAK Mazda Connect system as I do not ever go there.
Gen 7 Mazda Connect is Not Customizable.


If you want to get your Mazda Dealer to update the firmware of your MX-30s Mazda Connect you MUST complain to them of an issue as 9 times out of 10 your Dealer will not update to latest file as Mazda Japan will only pay your Dealer under Warranty if there is a causal problem.

I suggest you mention to Dealer that your Mazda Connect Screen just freezes and then reboots by itself. This is a known issue on some MX-30s which is fixed with this latest firmware update.

Note: I have been asked about Factory Wireless connection for Carplay and or AndroidAuto, unfortunately there is no Wireless CMU available for any MX-30 in any country they are sold in, also CMUs are specific for MX-30, no other Mazda model CMU will fit or work.

ALSO NOTE: Do not rely on your Mazda Dealer to update your Firmware for Connect as most never will unless you complain of a specific issue or fault.


What Hardware is Needed...
Obviously the .kwi Software File which is now updated and
then a Suitable USB Flash Drive Unit, like...


TYPE A (Square-Male) to....will also need a USB C Adapter...
TYPE C (Oval Shape-Male)....
YES You can use an ADAPTER Type A to Type C....

DO NOT USE any Multi Port Point Pigtail Adapter Types.
DO NOT USE ANY ‘’MICRO USB CARDS’’ MOUNTED INTO ANY USB DRIVE.


Note: YOU CAN NOT INSTALL WRONG FIRMWARE IN ANY GEN 7 MAZDA CONNECT, PLUS YOU CAN NOT CHANGE THE COUNTRY FIRMWARE VERSIONS LIKE NA to EU or to 4A or Visa Versa.

Your Cars CMU WILL NEVER ACCEPT ANY INCOMPATIBLE FILES.

YOU ALSO CAN NOT INSTALL or CHANGE TO ANOTHER MODEL VERSION LIKE NA01 to NA06, or EU03 to EU07 or NA07 to EU07.

You can ONLY Update the Original Version that is currently installed from Mazda in your car now if, repeat if any Update is available like example
NA11-10008 Updated to NA11-10014.

Hello. I have a Mazda 3 2015 SkyActiv-G with Carplay. My current version is 70.00.335 EU N. May I ask your support for the latest version?

and also I am having an issue. Once nothing is connected via bluetooth or cable, it automatically opens the FM radio… Is there anyway that I can’t avoid this.:)

Here is the Changelog for MX-30 EU02_11030 which I suggest Owners check and update if OTA is not functional.

Where Connected Service is available and accessible by the vehicle
over the air update (OTA) is available, even for users without a subscription
of the Connected Service.

NOTE: This update using an USB memory is available for all markets regardless of the OTA availability. OTA does not always work as intended so we suggest a Manual Update by MX-30 Owner or by Dealer via a SMALL USB Flash Drive (of less than or on < 16GB drive size of FAT32 Formatted and cleaned of any other files or folders).

The subject markets are EU02 for Germany, UK, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland,
Austria, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Ireland, Portugal, Italy,
Spain, Poland, Czech, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Baltic countries,
Croatia Slovenia and other markets that use EU02 Connect Firmware.

SYMPTOMS

The following symptoms can be solved or changes have been made
by the latest software (Ver. 7000C0A-EU02_11030).

(Ver. 7000C0A-EU02_11030)
• If another incoming call comes in immediately after the hands-free call is ended, it is automatically accepted.
• It takes time to establish Bluetooth® connection.
• When using navigation with heading up mode, the vehicle icon may rotate instead of the map.
• When operating audio source screen, the system may reboot.
• If another incoming call comes in while ending a hands-free call, it is automatically accepted.
• While playing audio tracks using CarPlay, it may stop playing.
• While playing audio tracks using CarPlay, it may mute the volume.
• The system may reboot.
• Beep sounds after every couple of minutes.
• Language setting may not be accepted correctly.
• Traffic Sign Recognition system (TSR) may not show correct speed limit.
• While playing audio tracks using CarPlay, when refusing the incoming call, screen shows “Phone in use” message and it stops playing audio tracks

(Ver. 7000C0A-EU02_11028)
• Screen freezes and goes to white screen, then the system reboots.
• Steering switches and commander switch cannot control the audio system.
• DTC U3000:49 is stored which may be accompanied with following symptoms.
- No sound comes out from the speakers.
- Audio source selection is unavailable.

(Ver. 7000C0A-EU02_11026)
• The device name may not appear when connected using CarPlayTM.
• After installing an accessory device, DTC U2301:56 may be stored.
• The system may repeat rebooting right after starting. Removing navigation SD card stops rebooting.
• When playing music using an USB connected iPhone, album artwork may not appear.
• After updating the emergency call unit (TCU in MDARS) software, DTC U2142:00 (communication error with microphone) may be stored.
• Android AutoTM may not appear on the entertainment screen.
• When using CarPlayTM, the screen may turn black.
• When a Bluetooth® device is disconnected, the screen may freeze.
• When a destination is sent from MyMazda application, the destination may not be registered.
• When the system reboots, registered information for a paired Bluetooth® device may be lost.
• When the gear is shifted from reverse position to parking position, the center display may turn black.
• When listening to the radio, steering switch operation for auto-tuning may erase the banner.

(Ver. 7000C0A-EU02_11020)
• When an artist or an album title is selected using voice command, no track may be played.
• When “Call Time Signal” is talked using voice command, Bluetooth® connection may be disconnected and the screen may freeze on communication to the time signal.
• Voice command may not be recognized.
• While multiple USB devices are connected, track selection using voice command may result in the error message “Too many tracks. This function is not available”.
• While adjusting Fader/Balance, if the volume knob is pressed and held to turn the power off, next time the power is turned on, the lines showing current setting for Fader/Balance may not appear.
• If the main power is turned off and then on quickly, while a Bluetooth® device is connected, Bluetooth® connection may not be resumed.
• After changing the distance unit in the system setting display, the energy efficiency unit in the EcoEnergyManagement screen may not change.
• After updating the emergency call unit (TCU in MDARS) software, DTC for disconnection of the mic may be stored in the CMU.
• After particular operations, the parking sensor screen may freeze.
• The 360° view monitor screen may be overlaid with the home screen.
• Language selection may fail to change.
• Warning message may appear leading to a reboot.
• While playing audio tracks using Android AutoTM and displaying the map using Android AutoTM, turning the main power off may lead to a reboot.
• Android AutoTM may fail to connect.
• While using Android AutoTM, turning the main power off may lead to the display to keep turning on.
• After connecting a device to use Apple CarPlayTM, turning the main power on may lead to a reboot.
• [Dutch] Improper spelling for “Gemiddelde efficiëntie”.
• [German] Improper translation for “Fahrersitztemperatur”.

(Ver. 7000C0A-EU02_11018)
• Update detail screen shows incomplete sentence and trying to scroll to the beginning of the sentence leads to the whole sentence to disappear.
• Place markers setting may not keep the change and it may return to the default setting.

(Ver. 7000C0A-EU02_11016)
• Even if not applicable to the vehicle, charging stations with all of 6 types of connectors appear for searching/displaying the point of interest.
• Charging stations appearing at searching/displaying the point of interest are classified by power output but should be by connector type (Type 2: Normal. CCS2: Fast).

(Ver. 7000C0A-EU02_11010)
• If a connected mobile device has a problem, DTC U3000:49 (CMU internal malfunction) may be stored.
• Even after changing the setting for temperature unit, the temperature unit in PreAircon_TimerTemperature may not be changed.
• While voice recognition guidance is in play, if the Bluetooth® connection to a mobile device is disconnected, voice command may not be accepted.
• Even after a Bluetooth® connection has been disconnected, the icon showing active Bluetooth® connection may continue to be displayed.
• If “Steering shift switch” is selected in the favorites list, it may not move to the setting screen.


NOTE:

REPAIR PROCEDURE
In Connected Service available markets, support the customer according to OTA customer care guide at first when receiving information of difficulty in completing OTA from a customer.
If OTA cannot be completed even after multiple attempts at the customer, update the software version of the CMU according to the updating procedure MANUALLY.

In case of the customer complaint on the above symptom(s), update the software version of the CMU regardless Connected Service availability.

NOTE:
- The update software for MX-30 (DR) is not compatible with MAZDA3 (BP) and CX-30 (DM).

CHANGELOG for EU10 MX-30 (also for REV).

AND NO YOU CAN NOT CHANGE FROM a 'EU02' to a 'EU10'
MX-30 Firmware and Visa Versa, This is NOT Possible for ANY GEN 7 Firmware for ANY Current Mazda in Europe/UK/Australia/USA/Canada/Japan with EU0*, NA0*, JP0* etc.
(not the same as any GEN 6 with EU N, NA N, 4A N, JP M where you could change cars Firmware easily).

(Ver. 7000C0A-EU10_11012) New
• For vehicles equipped with e-SKYACTIV R-EV, the engine icon light may be turned off on the energy flow monitor during regenerative braking.

(Ver. 7000C0A-EU10_11010)
• Pressing the mute button may not pause music playback.
• The screen image may not appear correctly when smartphone receives messages under Bluetooth® connection.
• After editing a play list for an USB audio device, the system does not resume the play list.
• After removing and reinstalling the battery, the customization setting value may change.
• Video files in a USB connected device may not be played.
• The CarPlay icon may not be displayed.
• While CarPlay is connected, the screen image may not appear correctly.
• Video files in a USB connected device may not be displayed when the ignition is turned on 10 minutes after previous turning off of the ignition while playing the video file.
• Android Auto screen may not appear if the ignition is turned on while an Android device is connected.

(Ver. 7000C0A-EU10_11008)
• Slide show setting has been added.
• Wording of some warning messages for REV model has been changed.
• Preview screen for REV model has been changed.

I have sent you a download link for 11028 MX-30 Connect Firmware that should solve your issues,
All how to instructions are included in link.
ONLY place the .kwi File onto Clean FAT32 Formatted USB Flash Drive, plug into cars USB Port and follow install instructions.
These are all Genuine Mazda Firmware Updates.

I have sent you 11028 Firmware Update link so you can update CMU manually. follow instructions 100%.
once you have done this use in car.
I suggest you check Firmware for TCU as this has been updated, must let me know what version car is on first, see thread in this forum.
You might find OTA will then work, but obviously you must be registered.

Hi mate, I am interested in retrofitting apple car play in my Mazda 2 (2015).

I think I have version 42 installed, so will need the files to get to version 70.
I live in the uk so will need the eu version is this something you can help with also where would I get the remainder of equipment and if you could send me an installation guide that would be great.

Hello everyone. Please tell me, is it possible to replace the Japanese firmware of the head unit with the European one on the mazda connect 2?
There were no problems with this on Mazda Connect 1. Just download the European firmware and install it. And what about Mazda Connect 2?
No you can not swap firmware with Japan to EU or any another nation like NA in Gen 7 or Connect II (2019 onwards) the CMU will not permit it.
