Thanks, both! I successfully updated, though after reviewing the History, I already had the latest US version (1.1.1.02071_NA)

Gracenote isn't as useful as it used to be - there's no CD player in the 30 so it can't do album art for that and unless you've ripped a load of CDs to your phone is essentially irrelevant as streaming apps supply their own artwork (and voice commands)

To me it's a background thing that's there if I happen to need it. I stream apple music most of the time. However I do have older playlists on my phone that does use it. Horses for courses I suppose.

In your case Alan I'm assuming your old playlists are physical files on your phone - in which case Gracenote is relevant (and very useful). I haven't ripped a CD in years as Amazon Music HD has all the stuff I like in better-than-CD quality, deffo horses for courses

I think gracenotes it is used also when you stream audio via bluetooth without using carplay/AA - right?
anyone has a clue about the different regions at all?
