Bonjour,

I live in the Auvergne Rhone Alpes region, not far from Switzerland.

Have owned a Modern Confidence version with the fabulous Soul red crystal and black roof for a few months now and we love it  !
The choice of the MX 30 was made after long reflections, and despite a little hesitation on the autonomy, we do not regret it: the journeys are 90% under 150 km and I am lucky to be able to recharge at home. For long trips, we still use our diesel vehicle...
I have been consulting this forum for a few weeks which I appreciate very much (there is a huge amount of information there) and I am therefore registering today with great pleasure.

Thank you for welcoming me.

I did not know the vehicles of the manufacturer Mazda, having never owned one.
Seduced by the atypical design, I am not disappointed by the use of the MX 30.
It offers very complete equipment and excellent manufacturing quality in my eyes.
I appreciate that it is designed like a classic vehicle, with needles on the dashboard (I'm not a fan of the fashionable screens in other electric vehicles), and a real automatic transmission lever.
the set of paddles behind the steering wheel to manage regeneration is a real plus and that the last setting is not memorized on the next start seems logical to me.
I found the feeling of pleasure that I had with my previous models, satisfied with its power and torque. The car is rather dynamic, despite what we can read in certain tests...
Appreciating the comfortable sedans, I had some apprehensions, and yet on the road, the MX 30 is comfortable thanks in particular to effective shock absorbers and to a very low center of gravity which almost eliminates the roll effect.
I had the fake noise like engine deactivated when I bought it, I prefer to take advantage of the Bose system ;-)
In conclusion, this Mazda suits us, but it does have one big drawback: intended to be the second vehicle in the house, it becomes day after day... the main one!

My "precious" has a new accessory since this morning (y)

I had some doubts, but after a few kilometers on a bad road for test, all test ok: no noise, nothing moves, it's perfect.

On the other hand, not yet checked at night, but we can assume that the brightness of the lighting will be greatly reduced due to the position and the depth...

Hi, you are pretty enthusiastic ! But what is the reason you bought a BEV : environmental or economical ?
For me it is that the 'surplus' electricity - from our solar panels, which we don't use ourselves - only brings me € 0,05 per kWh,
and how I used it now I drive for less then € 0,01 / km..

Good question !
My wife mainly used her car (diesel minivan) for daily trips in and around town, and wanted a more compact and less polluting vehicle in these conditions of use.
We sold the minivan and only keep one vehicle for larger trips or motorway journeys:cool:
The economic motivation cannot of course be retained here
Spending such an amount for new vehicle as a second vehicle in the household can definitely not be profitable:
given the rapid depreciation, the purchase of a new vehicle is never a investment !

Good idea from your wife ! For me it always has been a consideration ( as an engineer ), that short trips are not good for combustion engines.
And diesel are even less suited as they are intended for long distances. So a diesel around town : not good. I used to have a Land Rover Discovery 3,
that I also used to drive around town ( TdV6). I knew it was killing for the engine as it would not heat up in winter. So then (2010), I installed a 'DEFA'
imersion heater in the cooling liquid circuit. It stayed heated 24/7 (150 Watts), and the cabin and engine were always warm since.
I already was dreaming then of a PHEV with capability of EV only mode, but they were really rare.

Now I have a PHEV, but it has its own will. Forcing it into EV mode doesn't work. So this was also a reason why I bought the Mazda.
I had a really good deal. The car was imported from Germany, after a 6K grant from the DE government. I bought it here and got a 2K
grant from Dutch government (used EV bonus). Then I traded my BMW 216i Active tourer in, and to pay was only 9k.

So trading up from a 5 year old BMW to a 6 months old Mazda for 9k, loosing the petrol cost and € 50 roadtax each month, makes sense to me.

Buying it new for 35k to do shopping, less sensible for economical reasons.
