Hi everybody. I have owned an MX-30 for a little over a week now and I am extremely happy with the car. It's our second car used for short commutes (work, shopping). The long hauls will be in a CX-5 (we're trading in a 2019 Mazda3 for it. Wonderful car, but too low for our age..) So yeah, we like Mazda.
The MX-30 is my first EV and I am extremely impressed with it. It drives like a dream and has tons of features you'd not expect to find in a car in this price range. The car tax in Denmark does help a lot to make EVs more affordable compared to fossil cars. Normally it's around a jaw-dropping 150% but EVs get special treatment for the next few years, and the tax I paid on the MX-30 amounts to about 4%.
I'm wondering about charging. Everybody says keep the battery between 20% and 80%. I have set the car charging schedule to start when the power is cheap (usually after 23:00), and to charge only to 80%. What are you guys doing? Also, should I plug it in every day or just when I'm running low on charge?
