I’ve had my MX30 since March and I love it.
daily 50 mile commute (2 way) with Pod point at work and New motion at home.
so I can drive like an ICE with no worries on range. What a lovely car to drive!
used my partners Mazda 3 ICE yesterday and it was so weird with no regen. Makes me realise how little I use the breaks now.
For longer trips just need to plan, charge points getting better all the time.

Congrats on your MX-30 @MartinU-MK! Welcome to the forum! What made you switch to it from your MX-5? Were you considering any other vehicles before picking the MX-30?

Hi my motivation was a desire to do my bit for the planet and air in particular. Trying to improve things for my grand children. I’m a real petrol head ( I built a Cobra with a huge V8) so this was a big deal. I looked at the VW ID 3 and had a test drive. But the finances were eye watering. I was planning to try some others but lockdown #2 prevented that. We are a 2 car house so still have an ICE. Looking at my normal use the range of the MX 30 is good as was the finance.
This is on a 3 yr deal and I expect a jump in battery tech in that time so feel good with my decision.
