If you are in the UK I’d recommend using a car checking service, three examples are CarVertical, Total Car Check, Carwow; if you’re not in the UK I expect there are similar in your location.

Sounds like you’re doing all the right things so far, and it’s smart to be extra cautious. One thing that’s helped me in the past is checking out this Facebook page (Log into Facebook) related to the car’s make or model—people there often share little things to watch for that don’t always show up in official records or inspections. It’s a good way to catch those “if I had known earlier” kind of details before you commit.

 

Anyone here driving a 2021 or newer Mazda MX-30? How reliable is the infotainment and EV tech, and does the smartphone integration work smoothly?

 

We've been using ours for four years (09/2021) without any problems.
We only go to the dealership for annual inspections. Our first mandatory inspection this year was fault-free.
Phone use (with a cable) is fine.

 

We've had ours for 12 months now; faultless throughout as has been Android Auto which is connected wirelessly using a dongle.
