Other owners have had this before. They went for a few drives and the error code disappeared. It has also happened on the cx30. So it is safe to drive but if it continues contact the dealership. It could just be a GPS signal loss that causes the tcu to stop communicating but as stated if it doesn't resolve itself go to the dealers

I don't think heat should affect communication but who knows in these strange times!. Some on the cx30 forum disconnected the 12v battery and the error went. Some had issues with the gps antenna. Others needed the TCU reset or replaced. Have a drive and monitor it. It does not affect any driving capability...according to others who have had the issue. Good luck. If it continues...🚗...dealership

My 2021 CX30 has this issue about once a month and it’s usually after drastic weather changes. Mild to freezing, snow-covered, extreme hot days. Another technical issue that seems to come up is the usb connection to the car stereo/ car play mode. Sometimes it connects, other times it’s undetected.
