Just placed a deposit for a ceramic white Mx-30 in California. Dealer says that it should be in by the middle of October. 👍
I’m coming from a Bolt so I already have the home charger. It’s a bit weird to take a large step down in range, but I have analyzed my driving over the past few years and realize that I never really drove my Bolt 100 miles in a day anyways and would rather ride in comfort. It will be interesting to talk to the other owners at the charging locations. Obviously Tesla is superior on a lot of fronts, but is much more expensive without a rebate. Model 3 is also 6 months out on delivery. I have come around and actually like the idea of a smaller battery that is lighter and more responsive to drive (as long as you have a home charger).

Exactly!! Same story here! Just went from a 2017 Bolt to a 2022 MX-30 and am absolutely IN LOVE with it! How are you liking yours?
I actually ended up getting a Mini Cooper electric which I love. The Mazda ended up not working for me with its charge port location vs where my home charger is. I didn’t love the rear window visibility in the Mazda for backing it up into my garage. I did test drive one and it drove great. The Mini Cooper is definitely zippier/faster, but the Mazda interior is a little more spacious and I loved the cork/recycled materials.

Oh sweet Congrats! I get ya on that, I have to back up the MX-30 in my parking space now because of where the charge port is but I'm also very comfortable using the cameras for this and don't need to look through any windows at all. The Mazda interior coming from the Bolt is AMAZING lol. The Bolt's interior was always so cheap/plasticky with horrible seats. I do miss the zippiness of the Bolt though but the MX-30 still has a little of that zippy EV feeling just not near as pronounced.

The Mazda was definitely more enjoyable than the Bolt even though it was a little slower on acceleration. It’s not often you need full acceleration, and the Mazda definitely handled way better than the Bolt.
