I think I’ve been charging pretty well with not charging to 100% all the time and very little use of rapid chargers - only a handful of times over two long ish trips. We had to use a variety of chargers over the weekend and had to charge to 100% every time to make sure we’d make our destination as not many charge points around. Each time it was 100% the mile range got lower. Today it’s fully charged overnight on a 3pin and says my mile range is 88miles!?
Am I doing something wrong? Is the battery ruined after only 6 months!? 🙁

Have you been calculating your miles per kw during previous journeys? The range is not just battery availability it is calculated using your mile per kw history. Does that make sense? (According to the figures you are getting 2.89 miles per kw based on 30.5kw actual usable battery)

Same opinion here. Range is based on your recent consumption, same for gasoline cars. Rapid chargers are basically on motorways so I would assume you've been driving on motorway too and so increased your average consumption.

What everyone has said here regarding your previous driving history is correct, the car takes into account your previous driving habits to tell you your estimated range. But I also wanted to throw in there that cold weather also affects range and you're entering the cold months where you are. Cold weather drops range in all EV's.

Thank you for your replies! Yes lots of motorways! I was concerned I’d damaged the battery because we had a bit of trouble with charge points.
I’d read about the cold weather having an affect too.
I love my car so I’m hoping all will be fine now I’m back to my normal routine. Is it right that it’s best to only charge up to 90% on a 3pin? We don’t have a home charge point.

They do recommend setting the 90% limit to prolong the life of the battery but I'm thinking of taking that setting off and letting the car charge up to 100% because I didn't buy the car, I'm leasing it for 3 years so the long life of the battery doesn't really apply to me. It won't make any difference in the first 3 years.

Check to see what miles per kWh you're getting it will affect your predicted range. Your driving habits will lower or raise that prediction. Around town under 45 is generally better mileage/range, freeway, lead foot, jack rabbit starts etc. lower mileage/range. your car learns your drive habits and reflects that in the full charge range meter. My Miles/ kWh number is currently 4.1 and the full charge meter reads 124-126. MX30 35.5kw battery has a usable drive storage of approximately 31kw x 4.0 it equals 124 miles and is on par for my learned driving habits. Keep you info screen on "Energy efficiency History" for a live update of your efficiency as you drive and watch how you driving style affects your real time use.

Odd thing happened yesterday, set off on the school run with 28 miles / 29% battery and normally would arrive home with 23 miles / 24% based on previous trips but actually got home with 31 miles / 30%. Guessing it was from turning the heating down by 0.5°

Thanks Terry. I have been checking it and reset it after I first posted. It stays roughly around 3.1-3.4. It has been pretty cold here so maybe that’s having an affect but still won’t charge to what was advertised. I absolutely love the car, but the range is proving a little tricky.
