For who are considering buying MX-30 being attracted to its connected features, or who are otherwise curious about this topic in Europe:
I've recently bought MX-30, and installed MyMazda app in my smartphone right away.
But I only could lock the doors by the app, not unlock - there's just no button for it in the app UI.
I was curious of this because there is no official information about the difference anywhere, so I contacted the head customer center of my country (not dealership or workshop).
And the agent got me a clear answer of it - All Mazda vehicles in EU countries, including MX-30s for sure, cannot do that just because of the EU safety regulation.
There seems to be some concern about hacking or other criminal exploitation of this feature if doors are allowed to be opened remotely by software.
Am I the only one who didn't know this before? Or is this misinformation? I just assumed it was because my car had a cheaper trim...
