Hi all
I’ve had my MX30 for 10weeks now and really really love it. Have had a couple of issues with my key already though. At the first 1000km service I had to have the key battery changed as it had stopped auto opening and locking. This worked but now 4 weeks later I couldn’t even unlock my car using the button and then once I used the key to get in, I couldn’t start the car. Looks like the battery is probs flat again.
just thought I’d see on here if anyone else has had this problem or if anyone knows how to fix it permanently so I don’t have to keep changing the key battery.
your help is appreciated!!

Two things I found on checking other mazda models. Worth checking with you even if it is to just knock them off the list of possible causes. Sorry if this does not help but again worth checking . Will keep looking.

1/If left within range of the car, the keyless type will remain active and drain the battery. You need to be at least 30 feet from the vehicle for it to deactivate.
2/ The key (transmitter) may consume
battery power excessively if it
receives high-intensity radio waves.
Do not place the key (transmitter)
near electronic devices such as
televisions or personal computers.

I fixed it!! Surprising what happens when you read the manual from cover to cover!! Hahaha
I had to stand near my car and press both the lock and unlock on the key for 60 seconds. It made the car lock/unlock/lights go on/horn beep. Apparently this resets the key and it’s been fine for the last 2 days!
