To quote Shakespeare "something is screwed" Sorry can't help any further It needs dealer diagnostics to read the obd data/logs etc. to determine if you have s/w or h/w issue.

Hi, I don't know are you guys interested but you were earlier helpful to figure it out so I decide to let you know that my odometer is still missing. Even in local Mazda dealer they cannot fix it. They promised to call me when they have something thoughts how to get missing odometer back to my car.

Keep us updated on how it gets fixed. It should be a bit of a priority given the possible legality issues I would have thought. Keep pressing them as some dealers might just hope you go away

Ok, I just got message from Mazda service and Finnish Mazda importer has ordered a bcm module and that should bring odometer back. I let you know is that the right component to fix this problem. Delivery time is long and we don't know when it arrived but I reply when it's done.
