Hi,

attending as a new member.
Should have gotten my MX-30 yesterday, if it wasnt for the error-codes the battery threw up.

Really very inconveniant, since the communication with the dealer is very sluggish, as is the communication between mazda and the dealer..They have to wait fckg 48hrs, for advice about an error code?

Hope this isn't indicative of my starting relationship with Mazda.
This feels like the wife has cheated before the marriage!

If i had't signed yet, i would have defo been reconsidering now.

I've signed the lease contract. So there is no other way.
Its already assigned to me, though I have never touched this particular luxury edition.

What do you mean by spec the car?
Ik can dream its specs, and they are more than enough for me. I really just want this car to work.
Hope they get it fixed 🙏

Welcome to the forum @MX30NL! Sorry to hear about your troubles with your MX-30. Just to clarify, this happened before you were expected to pick it up from the dealer?

Hi thanx..

Yes the salesman took a testdrive.. all was okay.
Then charged it. All was okay.
Then dealer did a readout on the pc, and it threw a code.
Mazda Japan, and now Europe are looking into this.

I've got an update today. Seems the (i quote) "dc dc converter" needs to be replaced and this is quite a big task.
So tomorrow they need to run some other diagnostics to ensure it really is the ac/dc converter that needs to be replaced. The above is on inquiry of mazda Europe.

Me nor the Mazda Dealer can give an exact date of release for my car.
"Fingers crossed" is not what you want to hear as a paying customer.
At this point I am almost wishing I went for another EV, very disappointing this process.

It will be interesting to see if you will be happy with your MX-30 when these problems have been solved.
Finding out about those kinds of problems was for me the reason to join this forum.
I like the MX-30, but did not yet buy one.

Yeah we will see how this all turns out.

I wanted the MX30 because it appeals to me more than the rest in its class.
i dont need a big battery, and care more for a pleasant, solid drive and comfort, than a fast piece of plastic and carbon.
There is no other option in my eyes for me (at least at this point in time)

So i guess i have to take what bumps are coming along, despite i am not very good at waiting.
In the end it will probably be worth it.

Hopefully they change the part a.s.a.p., and clearly it will be under factory-warranty. (Thats the un-felt lucky part of the story)
And actually good from mazda dealer to spotthis error, since it seemingly passed the QC at mazda factory.

But to hear it being delayed for unknown time, hours before deliverance, that hurts.

@PMS
Did you testdrive it?
(you should!)

@MX30NL No I didn't testdrive. But I was always attracted to Mazda but never owned one. The MX-30 seems to be the right car for us.
I am convinced this is just MY luck, untill now not heard a similar story.
Probably an incident (hopefully/probably not the 1st of a major mx30 callback)

Mazda could have just ignored it, since the car nor charger does not give off the code.
But they choose safety/service over quick cash, i should consider myself lucky.

The way it all went down it's very hard to stay positive, but im hanging in there.
I still am convinced (just like you PMS) this will be the perfect car for us.
The testdrive is what still keeps me going, what a pleasure to drive.

I come from a 2003 highline VW passat, also not a chore to drive, but no comparison to this EV.
Driving the mx30 feels like: "Driving as it should be" in my honest opinion

I have just been called by the dealer, i can pick it up after 16:00

They have swapped the parts, and its all good now, they are cleaning it as we speak.
So hopefully i will have it by the end of the afternoon.

Let's hope the patience will be rewarded.

Wow.. this was worth the wait.
The wife and daughter were really impressed, since they had not seen one in real life :)

Even though this is a relatively slow ev.. this thing launches very fast.. and these 5 regen steps also impact the accelerating..

What most reviewers get wrong/don't mention:

-2D makes 1 pedal driving possible (brake lights)
-1D has a fair regen but not no 1 pedal driving
D is normal with no regen
+1D is a quicker response.. faster acceleration
+2D is the quickest response on the gas, and fastest.

The 2 "+D" modes are a bit like "sport" modes

Sidenote: the dealer gave me an extra charging token for 40 euros for the inconvenience.

Even though thre are corona-measures being taken everywheren, and most of the shops are closed.
you CAN make a testdrive.
The dealer will NOT go with you, since thats against the rules.

But hey it is possible, and i would strongly suggest anyone having doubts to make a testdrive a.s.a.p.
be amazed!

I would love to write down all my experiences here..
but this forum is not uploading my pics etc from my phone.

Dont feel like finding workarounds for this, since its not worth complicating and costing my time.
bummer, think i will not be around after this post. no pics, is no go for me

I am very satisfied with the car, even more than i could imagine.
It's raining compliments, oh and dont forget al the frustrated Fossil-cars who can't keep [email protected] launch..
They stickshifting their ass off & grinding their clutch plates with high rev.. to no avail :p

Salut!

Heeft me 1%/2km gekost

Groet,
Henk

Hi Henk.

You'll learn to love 'em.
