Still no word on any future at all for the MX-30 in the US. The optics of its price to range ratio were already bad, and now the federal $7,500 tax credit is gone for this car.
It seems likely the US will only see the plug-in hybrid version going forward, but no one knows when or if that will happen given the changes in US tax credits.
