OTA only works for the Mazda connect system NOT the car software at this moment in time. Mazda connect updates have to be done in the vehicle as far as I am aware. You can update the sat navigation sd card at home to the latest version using the mazda toolbox.

If you are taking about remote tools using the Mazda app that's another subject.

I don't think the rest of the car is capable of OTA update - i have a feeling Mazda Connect is disconnected from all other components and is the only part that has connection to the eSIM. Otherwise we would get auto routing based on SOC. May be wrong but don't hold out hope.

There is some form of integration. When Bjørn Nyland drove to his cabin in Norway, the navigation informed him of the max speed he should drive to reach his destination when on low charge. I think it was in this video.

Update: Yes, that's the video. Around the 6:40 mark.
