Took out sd card for sat nav which also runs camera recognition for road signs and the bleeping stops
so will put it back in and will do the same journey tomorrow and see if bleep returns if that is the case a call to Mazda to see what I have to do next

sd card back in did a 5 mile journey and had 5x bleep so sad card will need looking at at some stage. I don’t use the sat nav much Alan so not sure what to untick within settings to see if bleep stops I’m hoping when I speak to Mazda Shrewsbury they will just reformat it and load info back on.

I would not have thought it would be the sd card. If factory reset works it is not resetting the sd card (as the s/w is locked in and should be read only) but resets the car settings. So if factory reset works, as per the other thread, it would appear the car has got its knickers in a twist.....but then again 🤔 . I wonder if Mazda would just do a factory reset first? I hope you can get it sorted as it is really annoying.

maybe I’ll try that first then do a factory reset in the car settings it would save time spending at Mazda and yes they might do that anyway

Hi all bleep now gone I had to do factory reset in car settings then put all personal preferences back in approximately 30 minutes todo. But as to what was causing the bleep I have no idea, if it does come back I will ring Mazda.
hope this thread has helped as previous thread by some one else helped me.

I do suspect that the tsr function (traffic sign recognition), which needs the Sat Nav card inserted to work, is picking up some signage and creating an alert (beep) in error. Only a theory as it has never happened to myself to enable analysis. Hopefully it will not re-emerge for yourself👍

hope it doesn’t return on the subject of traffic sign recognition as I travel on m54 there is a side road which has a 40 mph road sign and my camera picks it up and for the next 20 miles on the motorway I have a red line showing I’m speeding on the Speedo and doesn’t change until new road sign is detdcted a bit annoyin, I car share and my mates focus flashes 40 mph but after about 10 seconds reverts back to 70 mph max we think it’s the difference between sat nav software.
it goes to show all systems work different

Alan's suggestion worked for me! This has been driving me crazy for a couple of months! Apparently, this is a known issue and Mazda is working on a solution (see this link: Beep Sound from Infotainment System on most Gen 7 Mazda...). It is definitely related to the navigation system, even if you never use the Mazda's built-in navigation. However, if you eject the SD card, things like speed limit and stop sign recognition no longer work, and I really like those features. Until Mazda releases a permanent fix, here's what got rid of the noise for me: I turned off the navigation guidance by going to the Home Screen > Navigation > Menu (you need to press down on the big circle button to access the menu) > then toggle Mute Guidance (make sure the box is checked). I know it's not a permanent solution, and it may not work for you if you use Mazda's built-in navigation, but it got rid of the noise for me, and I am happy to just use Apple or Google Maps for my navigation.
