How long did you have to wait whilst they did the update?

I had a courtesy car as although it was in at 8:00 am they could not tell me when they would start and finish the work. Never got offered a while you wait service. In the end they had it for 5 hours.

I also received the same "range extender update" today. 😄
The update was scheduled for tomorrow, but I already brought the car today at noon and saw in the app after 2pm that the bonnet was open. An hour later they called that I could pick up the car.

dropped it off at 8am. They didn’t know how long it would take. Got a phone call at 1 pm to say it was done. Told em to put it on charge and I picked it up at 3pm.
One thing came out of it though. They lent me a brand new Mazda 2, I came to the conclusion I couldn’t go back to an ICE car now!
All in all, pretty good service from Mazda Oxford👍

Simple answer no. I assume its a phased notification because I haven't had my notification...however I just phoned my dealer and booked in irrespective of letter or no letter. AM035A is only a worry if you have drain on the 12v battery (such as car not locked etc) and this prevents it draining too far and AM036A is only ev hv battery heater for dc charging in really cold weather..

I have my update for a month almost and what i noticed is that there is a winter mode which keeps the battery a little bit warm (at the second mark from the battery temperature scale.) to keep the battery prepared for fast charging.That is good but there are some issues with this. First one is that it uses energy from the battery even it is pluged in . After charging was complete i have not driven my car for 3 days,car was connected to home charger ,the small one,and battery capacity droped by 8 procent with outside temperature of 4-5 degeeer celsius.I am curious what will be when temperature will drop to -10 degrees! The second issue after update during charging a lot of messages that charging can not be completed have the vehicule inspected,the charging Led is red. To restart the charge you have to unplug the charge connector from car and to reconect it ( you can not restart charging by switching of mains and than switching main back , i can do that remotely but is not working so it is verry annoing that every time you receive that message you have to visit the car in person, it happens every 2-3 charges.).
I think this update could be better from Mazda.
