For a couple of weeks, I have been getting strange beeps from the navigation system at particular points on my journey. A map update did not help. Someone suggested that it is the road sign system but in some places where it happens there are no road signs. No alerts appear on the dashboard. (the noise does not occur when the SD card is removed; so it is the nav system)

Any ideas?

I only had speed camera option for visual/audible under warning settings but thought I would ask. Can't see any other beep type options. If you turn the navigation announcement volume down to zero would it stop it? Or if you use Google maps for example instead does it stop the noise? Strange one

4.2 Settings menu
You can configure the programme settings, and modify the behaviour of the
navigation system. Press the commander knob with the map screen open to
display the menu, and select “Navigation Settings”.

4.2.2 Warnings Settings
Warning and alert settings are available.

Hi. I had exactly the same problem which turned out to be an incorrect part fitted to my first edition model. Problem solved by replacing incorrect part. Speak to Alistair at Western Maxza edinburgh or get back to me if that does not help

Hi, can you be a bit more specific about the part? Which was it? (I need to speak to my agent in Malta - a bit far from Edinburgh)

I have had the exact same issue. This has been driving me crazy for a couple of months! Apparently, this is a known issue and Mazda is working on a solution (see this link: Beep Sound from Infotainment System on most Gen 7 Mazda...). It is definitely related to the navigation system, even if you never use the Mazda's built-in navigation. However, if you eject the SD card, things like speed limit and stop sign recognition no longer work, and I really like those features. Until Mazda releases a permanent fix, here's what got rid of the noise for me: I turned off the navigation guidance by going to the Home Screen > Navigation > Menu (you need to press down on the big circle button to access the menu) > then toggle Mute Guidance (make sure the box is checked). I know it's not a permanent solution, and it may not work for you if you use Mazda's built-in navigation, but it got rid of the noise for me, and I am happy to just use Apple or Google Maps for my navigation.
