So what is the top speed people are seeing from their MX-30s?

I got my 2022 model up to 98mph this evening on a nice straight flat bit of motorway. It seemed to get up to speed much more easier than the 2020 model I test drove last year 🤔

Sorry, I don’t think you did. It’s not like an ICE where you can disconnect the engine from the drivetrain - you are limited by the physical RPM of the motor.

2 issues I see here are:
1. Driving at that speed will give you a range of about 70-80 miles
2. The speed limit in the UK is 70

The official top speed was 87mph for the previous model. I know they upgraded the charging rates but I thought the drive motor was the same. You say flat bit of motorway, was it a flat surface down the side of a mountain 🏔😀 perhaps or has something has been upgraded as mine runs out of puff nowhere near 87mph

1. It was a short stretch, I was overtaking and I wondered how fast it would go if I let it, I doubt I would get 40miles range if I drove everywhere at 98 😂 honestly I was watching the percentage points fall off!!

2. As soon as I realised my error, via the speed indicator upon the dashboard,I took all available steps to return the vehicle to safe speed for the road conditions, your honour.

Flattish… Devon isn’t renowned for its mountains 😂
Yes, the 2020 MX-30 I test drove was really struggling once the speedo hit 83… Hence my surprise with this 2022 model, and why I’m keen to see what others are achieving.

I also noticed that the battery temp was at halfway today, where it’s usually about 1 quarter from the bottom 🤔
