Does anyone know if the DC charger of the 2022 Mazda is different respect to the older version? If not, would it be possible to upgrade the charging power to 50-55 kW?

40kw pre 22 50kw on newer models I believe.

I don't believe so. Mazda, to date, have not offered any such upgrade but to be honest I don't really know if it is a simple bms s/w update or h/w is involved in the control process.

I think the DC charge rate is dependent upon the battery used. If all models of MX-30 use the same battery then a DC charge rate upgrade should be possible via software update… If the newer models use a newer battery type, then I think the older models are stuck at their current charge rate ☹

It’s the same battery but I believe the charging circuit is different on the newer models so can’t be updated in software
