I realised that in overage every month, I cross 1500km by driving a short-range MX-30. It requires around 200kWh to charge. So on average, it equals ten charging sessions from 10% - 80% (less than 20kWh per session). So on a timeline, it's around 5 hours of my time to spend learning languages with Duolingo or visiting a store nearby. It will be nice to get some insight from others. So, how does your month looks?:)

Commute a bit more than 100 km. So charging daily or rather nightly more often than not. Luckily have a wallbox at home. In the countryside thats not a challenge heaps of space. Fast charging rarely and then mostly short top ups to make it home. When its part of your daily routine you just hook it up automatically when you get home. End of story. Monthly mileage 2400 km???
Less mileage when not working but huge fan of outings with the MX 30 and had so much fun with this car. Like today! 140ish km in the pursuit of fun.

6900 km since November last year. Generally charge once a week on weekend from around 20% to 80% preferably when it's sunny and my home solar panels are producing and subsidising cost of charging. From Aug 2021 to Jul 2022 measured cost of electricity was £135 (686 kwh). Home charger fitted in February so no figures for granny charger use from Nov and only charged away from home on a short long weekend away.

Hi,

I have the MX-30 since end of last year so in 7 and a half months I did 17300Km. I charge it every night to 80% and I do 90 to 100km per day. I charge it with the granny cable which I had some problems with the original one but I bought another one which works fine. I'm loving the car... I don't know if I buy a ICE vehicle again.

Best regards,
Marco

6000km in 9 months makes under 700km/month. Only one 100+km trip made so far.
I charge over night whenever the battery is below 70% to 100% (or whatever when I take the car in the morning)
Dear Bassek,
You might want to consider trying to stay between 20 and 80% if possible.
Would not charge from above 50% SOC all the time. Batteries like cycling in the middle so to speak and keeps em healthy.
Charging to 100% occasionally, not all the time, is possibly a good idea for balancing the cells.
The battery is the most expensive part of your MX-30. So its absolutely worth some tender love and care.
In general the batteries and were designed to be used. Unless you have lease deal w limited mileage just feel free to put your MX-30 to work.

Very low mileage EVs could weirdly potentially get you less money when selling one day. Controversial point though.
If we consider a conventional petrol car going just short distances without properly heating the engine could cause loads of problems.
This is a problem an EV does not have allegedly. Good for you, right? 😀
Just skip charging prematurely all the time.
All the best

I am driving around 2000 km monthly, in most of the time charging at home, usually during the night, but in the weekends and when I am at home during the day from my photovoltaic farm, small one pushed 2.5 Kw, but enough from my needs. I am using 230V charger type 1 that came with the car. I am owning from July this year, until now mileage is a bit more than 5000 Km. I am using the car mainly for commute. For me ba is sized enough for my needs, 70-90 km daily. I have set upper charging limit at 90%, as I read it from internet. I hope that will help at battery degradation.

Dear Coral,
Super excited to see content from Romania.
Such a genuinely interesting place. Beautiful no downright stunning
Roman slash Slavic language, Transylvania etc etc. Terrific!!!!
The sad truth is that a lot of Western Europeans dont know much about Eastern Europe in general including Romania.
Only been to Bucharest on biz but that hardly counts. Transylvania is on my bucket list for sure.
Your mileage indicates that you put your MX-30 to work. Fantastic!!!! Solar panels. Gosh, sorry thats on my to do list as well.
Well done Coral.
And mulțumiri.

in Romania subventions from the state on acquisition of BEV are huge, up to 11400 Euro for every electric car, so electric park is growing.Mainly are Dacia Spring, which are half of the acquisitions, the rest are Renault ZOE and VW-UP and ID3-4,followed by Tesla. I see it only one Mazda MX 30 except mine. charging infrastructure is poor but is growing fast and constantly. Owners are basically people staying at Houses, because is easy to be charged at home, otherwise on condominiums is very problematic.
in terms of cost per km is 5 times less for BEV compared with gasoline or diesel, if you charging at home.

2000km a month, i got wallbox with 6kwh homecharging with 8 solarpanels. Drive 3 a 4 times a year to swiss and back to holland no problem at all. 90% of all drives are made with the mx-30. Now 26000km within 10 months, 15kwh average, max speed 100km/h. Door rattle is fixed by line adjustment. Im selling the mini, now we know we can drive long distances in western Europe.
