Depends what underfoot conditions are:
Both are easy to remove
Easy to swap so could be seasonal given you have both
Rubber for durability and easy to clean
Carpet for looks.
I have carpet and it's not too hard to keep clean. Gives a more upmarket look in my opinion. Rubber is more utilitarian.

I just went with rubber because the fabric mats collect dirt inside the fibers which makes it hard to clean. Seems like the rubber all you would have to do is hose them off maybe use a brush, let dry and put back in.
I’m not saying I have been tracking mud into the car but this seems like a better choice for me.

I bought the rubber with the car. Now I have a surplus set of the fabric mats. Probably to recent for anybody needs replacements, but I'm not using the fabric.
Be aware I reside in W-Europe, so shipping to the US/CA would be prohibitively costly..
