hello, I'm very close to buying a 2022 Premium Plus in Crystal Red. I've test driven one locally in Ceramic (which i prefer - it appears pistachio green to me!) but they want too much $ for it.

I'm aware of the very limited range - any other concerns about owning one?

I'm in Ohio, USA. Would like to hear from other US based owners - the good and the bad.

I bought a used 2022 premium plus, soul red with grey pillars, black roof. Range is the only issue with the mx30. got it in July, lot of highway miles all summer. A pleasure to drive, nicest equipped car i've ever owned. this winter was brutally cold. subzero temps. my range dropped from 160 km(100 miles) to 100 km(60 miles) the battery heater, heating for cabin, and sticky winter tires will do it. fine in the snow too. i bought mine because of the price, was looking for a used cx30, but got my mx30 gt 2022 for the priced of a 2020 cx30 gs with 50000 miles..Easy choice for me. they sell for 20 thousand Cdn

Thanks! That's very helpful. I was wondering about snow/ice as I'm coming from an AWD wagon (though I rarely got the front wheels to break loose and kick in the AWD)
What charging time do you typically need? I see many Europeans owners saying 5 hours but the 2022 spec says 2 hrs 50 min with a level 2 but I've also seen comments that the system was updated/improved when the MX-30 BEV went on sale in California.

I've lived with mine for a few months now and my main gripe is the terrible rapid charging. Starts at 35kw and quickly goes from 10-15. That's not rapid charging. I don't have to rapid charge that much as I mostly charge at home, but if I need to do a longer journey it's pain. I was fully aware of the range when I bought it and I don't really have an issue with it. That said I bought it as an upgrade to my Nissan Leaf for my daily commute of 90km round trip and it's perfect for that and far more comfortable (and better looking - the Leaf never exactly turned heads!)
Not exactly the most efficient EV I've ever driven though.

it's still in transit. still. so i am unlikely to buy it. after all this time, carmax has been useless. they even sent me a text the other day saying "oh hey your car's ready" but then sent another one saying "oops my bad, it's not your car" and i pretty much lost interest at that point.
